Reeds Spring School District is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Reeds Spring, MO
Qualifications
- High School diploma, equivalent (GED), or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities listed below
- Be able to read and interpret basic instructions
- The ability to lift at least seventy five (75) pounds is an essential job requirement
- Capable of physical exertion to manually lift, push, pull, bend and carry heavy objects and materials
- Capable of climbing ladders and doing above head work
- Must submit and pass background check
- HVAC Certifiation: Required to include possession of a Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification to legally handle refrigerants. General maintenance and repair to include working knowledge and experience with electrical, HVAC, and construction.
Performance Responsibilities
- Ensures that quality of work is excellent
- Report items to Director of Maintenance that are not compatible in performing tasks
- Wears all safety paraphernalia while working
- Keeps Director of Maintenance informed about condition of the buildings and grounds
- Performs such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming and the like, as necessary to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition
- Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities as directed by the principal and/or Director or Maintenance
- Keep sidewalks and parking lots clear of snow and debris
- Maintain confidential nature of all school-related matters
- Other tasks assigned by the Superintendent or designee
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of support staff personnel.
